Dean Fiore and the Triple F Racing team were at Queensland Raceway last Friday 28 May, putting the FG Falcon through its paces in preparation for the next round in Darwin. Dean arrived on the Gold Coast the Wednesday prior for a V8 Supercars Team owners meeting which happened to coincide with his scheduled test perfectly.
The team completed a full day’s program, making steady gains throughout producing further confidence within the developing team on the back of several promising results from the last few rounds in the V8 Supercar Championship.
Dean hopes to forge further forward in the remaining rounds in the 2010 season. “We got through our whole program for the day, and learnt a fair bit throughout. I am extremely confident we can work on what we learnt from the test and can progress forward in Darwin.
“The Team and I have been tracking along well this year, continually making steady gains throughout the season. I believe we can challenge even more now with our pace from what we are constantly learning at these test days,” Dean said.
The Triple F Racing’s enduro driver, Michael Patrizi, was also behind the wheel on Friday’s test day where he completed in excess of 100 laps around the Queensland Raceway circuit, adding valuable seat time in the lead up to the endurance rounds in September and October.
“The test was a productive day from my point of view and Dean’s. They gave me a lot of miles and opportunity in the car. We worked on a lot of development not only for the endurance races but also for Dean’s up and coming races.
“I am quietly confident for the two endurance races ahead, and I don’t believe there could be a better fit between Dean and myself,” Michael commented.
The next round of the Championship sees the V8’s head to the top end to compete at the Hidden Valley Raceway for the Skycity Triple Crown in Darwin from June 18-20.
